SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL

“There have been countless portraits done of Sir Winston Churchill, most of the sculpture portraits portray him as an elder statesman. After extensive research, I wanted to portray Winston Churchill as the person who changed this world: in his prime as the new Prime Minister of Great Britain, and facing the beginning of the Second World War. Churchill was a hard-nosed and determined leader who had respect and admiration from all nations. This is the era that showed the world the true Winston Churchill.”

- Peter Sawatzky 2015
