ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
The Loch Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new sculpture by Patrick Amiot. The “urban folk artist” returns to his roots with a collection of clay works alongside his recycled “Junk Art” sculptures. These works are inspired by both traditional Canadianna imagery and early 20th century and contemporary pop/folk figures.

Patrick’s ceramic and mixed-media work ranges in subject matter, reflecting his acute observation and sense of humour in our daily life. Often taking inspiration from musicians, writers, quirky cars and trucks, athletes, farmers, and his passion for hockey, Patrick’s creations are brought to life with his partner Brigitte Laurent's meticulous brushwork and sophisticated sense of colour.

Over the past two decades, Patrick has gained international notoriety for his unique large-scale sculptures made entirely from recycled materials. Sourcing materials that are destined for the dump or donated by local companies or community members, Patrick gives these objects new life as works of art. His purpose is to “glorify these objects” as they all have their own spirit and stories to tell.

Note that all works are subject to pre-sale. Should you have an interest in any of the pieces listed in the exhibition, please let us know at your earliest convenience.
