PHILIP CRAIG: "FROM WHERE I STAND", SEPTEMBER 6 - SEPTEMBER 24, 2014 IN TORONTO

Philip Craig’s continual search for new subject matter and the wish to develop his technical abilities pushed the artist first to visit England, then France, Italy, Morocco and India – all travels that not only enriched his palette but also gave him a deeper appreciation of light.

Through the years, Craig’s extensive exploration of the Canadian landscape has led to a strong desire to imprint his vision of his own country. Paintings of lakeshores and domestic interiors reveal the intimacy of the artist’s everyday life in Canada. From where he stands with his camera in hand, Philip gives the viewer a personal glimpse of his world.

Philip Craig’s paintings are collected in Canada, the US, England and around the world. A renowned philanthropist, Philip donates his work in support of worthy causes and institutions. His generosity will ensure a lasting creative legacy.
