Theodore Ceriez

Ceriez was born on October 11, 1832 in Poperinghe, going on to become a pupil of L. Ypres Academy and the Fauvelet in Paris. Ceriez was a painter during the late 19th to early 20th Century, opting to depict children, animals and adult figures, mainly in interior settings. He was a prolific exhibitor and has been oft-reproduced. His most memorable works often convey the more humorous side of life.
