Biography

Fredericton born artist Eric Louis Budovitch comes with a diverse art background. He received an undergraduate degree in the history of art from McGill University in Montreal and later invested himself in its study traveling south to New York City.

Initially pursuing a graduate degree at the New York Academy he chose to also independently attend the venerated Art Students League under the tutelage of American portraitist, Nelson Shanks. Upon graduation Eric traveled to Norway to continue his study under the internationally recognized artist, Odd Nerdrum.

After his mentorship, Eric began his own art production with a unique vision that has become widely popular both here in Fredericton and in his adopted home of Toronto.

Highly realistic with a heavy dose of narrative behind his works, Eric pushes subtly but confidently into his subject matter, uncovering mystery and even a hint of darkness.
